How do you tell whether a Belgian TED notice is still open?
Read the deadline TED publishes. A date that has already passed is not shown as still answerable. If the notice publishes none, AOEX does not invent one.
The date TED publishes
For a Belgian notice, AOEX reads the deadline TED publishes for receipt of tenders. That field is what says whether the notice is still open. No other date is added.
The text to follow stays the official notice. The link to that notice stays on the page.
A date that has already passed
The comparison uses today’s date in Belgium. A date that has already passed is not presented as still answerable, and the notice is not listed with the notices that are still open.
On the day of the published date, it is not treated as already past. The page then says that the close falls on that day.
When no date is published
If the notice publishes no deadline, the page says so. AOEX does not invent a deadline to fill the gap, and the notice is not presented as still answerable.
That gap does not replace the official notice: that is where the buyer states the deadline when they publish one.
This note describes public documents and how AOEX works. It is not legal advice.
